Imam Zahid Abdullah is a graduate of Madinah University where he received his degree in Islamic Jurisprudence in 1989. He began his professional teaching career in 1993 at the Muslim Center of New York where he oversaw the instruction of more than 200 children on a daily basis. From there, he moved to serve the community of the largest Masjid in the City of Atlanta, Al-Farooq Masjid, where he oversaw the development of numerous Huffaz who went on to be successful professionals, Mashallah.

Fluent in Classical Arabic, English, Urdu, and Punjabi, Imam Zahid has the unique ability to develop a rapport with people of many different backgrounds. This uncommon ability allows him to attract people of diverse upbringing and enables him to engage in a level of community-building which transcends cultural boundaries. All told, Imam Zahid has positively influenced the lives of thousands of students and individuals and has only continued in that capacity at Quba Academy, Alhamdulillah.

In January 2013, Imam Zahid saw the desperate need for a high quality institution of learning which would produce children who would, by the will of Allah, complete the memorization of the Holy Quran and, at the same time, would be equipped with the academic skills to become community leaders in the near future. Quba Academy has worked tirelessly to produce tens of Huffaz in a very short period of time, by the Fadl of Allah, and we are blessed to be able to say that our graduates have gone on to be leaders of their high school classes, in both academic achievement and proper Islamic training and practices, Alhamdulillah.
